Jordan Porter, owner of Fine Tuning
Jordan graduated with highest honors from the Randy Potter School of Piano Technology. He is an associate member of the Piano Technician’s Guild. His goal is to provide his customers with greater understanding of how their pianos work and how to maintain them for longevity and resale purposes. He is meticulous with regard to pianos and their proper function and tone production. He is currently the piano technician for several school districts and other institutions owning 100+ pianos each and has thousands of private clients throughout Idaho, Oregon, Washington, and Utah.
Jordan studied piano at the Utah State University Youth Piano Conservatory in Logan, Utah. He studied there for eight years and has continuously played and performed for over 30 years. There are piano technicians who are not pianists. Much like you would expect your mechanic to be capable of test driving your vehicle, your piano technician should be able to play your piano to test its musical quality. Jordan also has a degree in criminal justice and spent 8 years working as a private investigator for a firm in Boise prior to becoming a piano technician.
